Piety

Come Holy Spirit, fill the heart  of your servant and enkindle in it the Fire  of Piety and Reverence so that I may be able to live a life of devoutness and reverence for God our Father

living with Him truly as a child of His and

respecting others because they too are His children, sheep of His flock,

created as we all are -  in His image.

Welcome To Retreat In The Holy Spirit

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit  As it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be world without end Amen

The Gift of Piety

Come Holy Spirit fill the hearts of your faithful and enkindle in them the fire of Your Piety  and Love. Amen

The Gift of Piety corresponds to the Virtue of Justice and enables us to live a life of devoutness and reverence for God our Father.

It is by this gift that we show love and reverence for God as a loving Father, living with Him truly as daughters and sons of His.

The Gift of Piety perfects the virtue of Justice enabling us to fulfill our obligations to God and neighbour.

God sent his Son, born of a woman, born a subject of the Law, to redeem the subjects of the Law and to enable us to be adopted as sons. The proof that you are sons is that God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts: the Spirit that cries, Abba, Father, and it is this that makes you a son, you are not a slave any more; and if God has made you son, then he has made you heir. (Galatians 4: 4 - 7)

Through the Holy Spirit, Mary has conceived Him and given Him for us, to enable us to be adopted, to be made children of God.

Piety - Mary

The Gift of Piety is the offering of special service and honour to God as Father.

Elizabeth proclaims the unique honour and service Mary offers to God:

Blessed are YOU who trusted that t he words of the Lord be fulfilled  (Lk1: 45)

And Her Magnificat  praises the greatness of God's  fatherly care

Whenever we join in proclaiming the Magnificat, we more deeply esteem our own relationship with God in the most profound words of worship and honour.
